Working with this article

In the following examples replace the example information with the correct account information, i.e:

  • John Smith = <Your Name>
  • johnsmith@netregistry.net = <your.email@yourdomainname.tld>
  • netregistry.net = <yourdomainname.tld>

To Setup an email account with iPhone

  1. From the home screen of your iPhone click Settings
    .
  2. Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. In the Accounts section select Add Account….
  4. On the Add Account page select Other.
  5. Click Add Mail Account.
  6. On the New Accountpage, complete the following details.Your Name:The name to be displayed when sending email.
    Address: The email address, e.g. johnsmith@example.com.
    Password:
    The password used for this email account.
    Description :
    Any text description.
  7. Click [Save].

    The iPhone may attempt to automatically retrieve the server settings. If it fails this attempts you should configure the settings manually.
  8. Select IMAP or POP from the mail account types. What’s the difference?.
  9. Complete the corresponding information.Your Name: The name to be displayed when sending email.
    Address: The email address, e.g. johnsmith@example.com.
    Password:
    The password used for this email account.  
    Incoming Host Name: pop.netregistry.net (if you selected POP (in step 8)) or imap.netregistry.net (if you selected IMAP (in step 8)).
    Outgoing Host Name:
    smtp.netregistry.net or your Internet Service Provider’s (ISP) outgoing mail server.
  10. Click [Save].
    Note:
    You may be asked to set the account up without SSL. Select Yes.
  11. The email account is displayed in the Accounts list. Select the email account.
  12. Scroll down and select Outgoing Mail Server- smtp.netregistry.net
  13. Complete the following information if not already completed:
    SSL:
    Off.
    Authentication: 
    Password.
    Server Port
    587.

You’re now complete. Test by sending an email to the account.
